David Knowles resides near Greytown, New Zealand, and has been painting and exhibiting for more than thirty years. Knowles won two awards of merit at the New Zealand Academy of Fine Arts and has his work displayed in The National Portrait Collection housed at The Alexander Turnbull Library. In 2003 he was invited to show his paintings at the prestigious Biennial International of Contemporary Art in Florence, Italy.

Knowles’ paintings feature in collections in New Zealand, Australia, the US and England.
